Week 7 of 14
A week inside the Psalms
Days 43 to 49: Psalms 22 to Psalms 104, 83 chapters.
Reading a dozen psalms a day is very different from reading one slowly, and that is the gift of this pace: you hear the whole range at once. Lament sits beside praise. Psalm 22 opens with the cry Jesus prays from the cross, and Psalm 23 follows it. Notice how often a psalm starts in trouble and ends in trust, and how honest the writers are with God. Psalm 51 is David's prayer after his sin with Bathsheba. Psalm 90 is the one psalm credited to Moses.
Watch for how often a psalm starts in trouble and ends in trust.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing.Psalm 23:1
