Week 6 of 14
Walls, a queen, and a sufferer
Days 36 to 42: Nehemiah 4 to Psalms 21, 83 chapters.
Nehemiah finishes the walls under threat, and Ezra reads the law aloud to the people. Esther is set in Persia and never names God, yet every turn of the plot depends on him. Then the story pauses for poetry. Job loses everything and argues with three friends about why. Most of the book is their long speeches, and the turn comes when God answers from the whirlwind in chapter 38. The week ends in the first Psalms, the prayer book of Israel.
Watch for God answering Job from the whirlwind in chapter 38.
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.Job 19:25
